Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake County Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake County Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Lake County Des Plaines River near Des Plaines affecting Cook County Fox River at Montgomery affecting Kane and Kendall Counties Fox River at Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater affecting Kane and McHenry Counties The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well as forecast precipitation 24-48 hours into the future. The Flood Warning continues for The Des Plaines River near Des Plaines, or from Palatine Road in Prospect Heights downstream to Irving Park Road in Chicago.

* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by Saturday morning. &&

* AFFECTED AREA...In Arizona...Fire weather zone 102.

* TIMING...Late this morning through this evening.

* WIND...Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* HUMIDITY...Relative humidity decreasing to 10 to 15 percent during the afternoon and evening.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
